LAHORE, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday visited the residence of Captain (retd) Syed Ahmad Mobin, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Lahore who was martyred in Yesterday’s Lahore bombing.

The COAS condoled with the family of Captain (retd) Syed Ahmad Mobin and prayed for grant of eternal peace to the departed soul.

Syed Ahmad Mobin was among 15 persons who fell victims to a suicide bombing at Chairing Cross in Lahore on Monday evening while a protest was underway outside the Punjab assembly.

The COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa also visited the Lahore’s Services Hospital today and inquired about the health of those injured in suicide blast.

Following the blast, the COAS strongly condemned the terrorist act and expressed his grief for loss of innocent lives.

The COAS also instructed local army commander and intelligence agencies to provide all necessary assistance to civil administration in evacuation of injured to hospitals and also to apprehend those responsible for this heinous act.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif accompanied by the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, federal ministers, and top civil and police officials also went to the residence of DIG Traffic Lahore Captain (retd) Syed Ahmad Mobin and expressed condolences with the bereaved family.
