ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Dense fog enveloped various areas of Punjab Province on Wednesday affecting the routine life of people.

Fog at some places and snowfall on others amplified the chilly and frosty weather.

The flow of traffic was disrupted due to fog as motorway was closed for traffic from Sheikhupura to Pindi Bhattian. National Highway also underwent an interruption in the traffic system.

Drivers have been advised to use fog lights to avoid any mishap or accidents.

Cool winds persist in Lahore and have taken the temperature to 4øC.

During the last 12 hours, rain thunderstorm occurred in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Kohat and Quetta divisions.

More rain with snowfall over the hills is likely at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Peshawar, Mardan divisions, Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA), Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during next 12 hours.

Cold and dry weather is expected in remaining parts of the country.

Foggy conditions are expected in plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours.

Skardu -12øC, Gupis -09øC, Kalam, Astore -08øC, Parachinar – 07øC, Malamjabba, Rawalakot -06øC, Kalat, Bagrote -05øC.
