Syrian Peace talks in Astana starts soon after historic ceasefire in Syria

Astana, Kazakhstan: After reaching historic nationwide ceasefire in Syria, National Coalition of Syria confirmed its participation in Astana Peace talks.

Nationwide ceasefire in Syria has been reached through talks brokered by Turkey and Russia.

“It looks that six years of civil war will come to an end in first week of year 2017 because Washington was not involved in Peace Talks and Syrians have decided to resolve Syrian issue by themselves”, commented Russian media outlets.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that war against terrorists would continue while referring to ISIS and Al-Nusra front. Al Nusra Front is now rebranded as “Fateh Al Sham Front” and is allegedly backed by Saudi Arabia and Gulf States.

“The agreement is for all of Syria and contains no exceptions or preconditions,” said Osama Abou Zeid who is a legal advisor to rebel groups fighting under the Free Syrian Army banner.

Ahmed Ramadan, a member of the National Coalition political opposition body confirmed that Coalition would attend Astana Peace Talks.

Russian President Putin emphasized that negotiating teams must reach as soon as possible to Astana to formulate truce arrangements.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has indicated Turkey and Russia would invite Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq and Jordan to involve them in truce process. It may be mentioned that Iran has already collaborating with Turkey and Russia to bring peace in Syria to end civil war.
