ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Rainfall is likely to turn weather pleasant in Upper Punjab, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) on Eid day while dry weather to prevail elsewhere in the country.  

Senior Meteorologist Muhammad Ayaz told the state-run news agency on Tuesday that a light to moderate intensity rainfall is expected in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Hazara division, Malakand, FATA, Gilgit Baltistan on Eid day, (September 13).

He said no new monsoon system seemed active in the area however, westerly wave would cause rain in these areas.

Monsoon is still active in India but, it started depleting in Pakistan in September so currently no new system is observed right now, he informed.
