LARKANA, Pakistan: One Rangers personnel was martyred when a blast took place near a Ranger Checkpost in Sindh’s Larkana district on Saturday.
Sources said that five Rangers personnel along with nine civilians also sustained injuries in the blast which occurred near a Rangers vehicle outside the Checkpost on Miro Khan Road in Larkana.
They said that according to initial reports, the explosive material had been planted in a bicycle.
Following the blast, the injured which included six Rangers personnel were rushed to Chandka Medical Hospital where one Rangers personnel succumbed to his injuries while getting treatment.
Meanwhile, the newly-elected Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took a serious notice of the incident and directed the police authorities to arrest the culprits at the earliest to bring them to justice.
The Chief Minister also directed to provide the best possible treatment to injured persons.
Sources said that the security forces have arrested nine suspects in this regard.
