ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission has said over 12‚000 nomination forms have so far been sent online to NADRA‚ FBR and SBP as part of scrutiny.

Talking to media in Islamabad‚ Secretary Election Commission Ishtiak Ahmad the process of scrutiny will be completed by the 7th of this month.

He said the commission is devising a strategy to monitor the activities of around 500 Returning Officers online to eliminate the chances of any foul play.

Ishtiak Ahmad said a final decision about granting right of vote to overseas Pakistanis would be taken on Tuesday.

He said notices were issued to 189 former parliamentarians to get their degrees verified from the Higher Education Commission by tomorrow.
