ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan is desirous of further promoting friendly and brotherly relations with all countries particularly with its neighbours for peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

The president made these remarks while separately talking to envoys designate of Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Republic of Korea, Somalia, Sudan and Sweden who presented their credentials to him on Thursday at an impressive ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.

Mamnoon Hussain said that Pakistan offers great investment opportunities and urged the foreign investors to avail them.

Talking about Pakistan’s efforts against terrorism, the president said that Pakistan has rendered great sacrifices in fight against terrorism and is committed to end this menace. He stated that Operation Zarb-e-Azb is progressing successfully emphasizing that the operation would continue till elimination of the last terrorist.

President Mamnoon felicitated the newly appointed High Commissioner and Ambassadors to Pakistan and hoped that they would work for further cementing the existing ties of their respective countries with Pakistan. He also wished the newly appointed envoys a comfortable and pleasant stay in Pakistan.

The envoys who presented their credentials included Mr. Tarik Ahsan, High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Mr. Ali Fikrat Oglu Alizada, Ambassador of Azerbaijan, Mr. Suh Dong-gu, Ambassador of Republic of Korea, Mrs. Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhsumi, Ambassador of Somalia, Mr. Tageldin Elhadi Eltahir, Ambassador of Sudan and Ms. Ingrid Johansson, Ambassador of Sweden.
