ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday forecast rain and dust-thunderstorm with isolated heavy falls for different places of Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.

According to PMD that the synoptic situation, seasonal low was lying over Northeast Balochistan. Yesterday’s Monsoon Low over North Madhya Pradesh was lying today over West Madhya Pradesh. While a weak westerly wave was located over northern areas of the country.

Mainly rain and dust-thunderstorm with isolated heavy falls is likely in Karachi, Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas divisions, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions.

While rain-thunderstorm with isolated heavy falls is expected at scattered places of Hazara, Malakand, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Zhob, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Makran and Kalat divisions and Barkhan.

Heavy downpour may generate urban flash flooding and landslides in vulnerable areas during the next 24 hours.

The rainfall recorded during the last 24 hours was Malamjabba 32 mm, Kakul 25, Saidu Sharif 05, Rawalakot 25, Garidupatta 15, Kotli 07, Murree 22, Sargodha 07, Chakwal 05, Multan 02 and Parachinar 09 mm.

The highest maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Dalbandin, Turbat 45 C, Nokkundi, Sibbi, Panjgur 44 C, Rahim Yar Khan, Bhakkar and Dadu 43 C. The Pollen count recorded was 191 per cubic meter of air.
