PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Peoples Republic of China is considering large number of scholarships for Pakistanis students, who learning Chinese language and establishment of the Institute of Chinese Language Culture Conference in the universities of Peshawar and Abbottabad.
These assurances were given by Chinese diplomats while talking to a delegation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in federal capital Islamabad.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa delegation was headed by Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Higher Education and Information Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani while the Chinese embassy was represented by Deputy Chief of Mission and Political Advisor MD. Zhoo Lian.
The delegation was informed that China annually provides 220 scholarships to graduate, post-graduate and doctorate level Pakistani students on which the KP delegation while keeping in view situation in the province demanded specification of quota for their students.
During the meeting, both sides expressed resolve that being sister provinces Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Xinjiang and sister cities Abbottabad and Kashgar will make special arrangements each other in head of special scholarships and educational facilities and an Education and Cultural Desk will also be established in Peshawar.
Similarly, both sides said that China Alumni Association will also be established in which graduates from China will get opportunity to maintain contact.
The Chinese delegation also announced that besides sending of three nurses and three lecturers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 20-day training to China, at least six youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also be included 12-day Beijing Summer Camp while different local and regional scholarships opportunities will also be created in the Peoplesā€™ Republic of China.
