ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Youm-e-Takbeer will be celebrated on Saturday (May 28) with a pledge to defend the country against any aggression.

Pakistan is the first and only Muslim country to achieve the status of a nuclear power after conducting nuclear tests at Chaghai in Baluchistan on 28th May, 1998 as a response to India’s nuclear bomb tests on 11th and 13th May of the same year at Pokhran in Rajhasthan, a state of India.

In the morning, special prayers will be offered for the progress and prosperity of the country, supremacy of the constitution, and eradication of militants.

Different organisations will arrange special programmes and functions and bring out rallies to highlight importance of the day.
