Statement against Pakistan by Ashraf Ghani at RUSI strongly criticized in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The statement of the Afghan President Muhammad Ashraf Ghani while addressing at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) London on Thursday evening is being criticized in Pakistan.

Ashraf Ghani during his address at a gathering of diplomats and foreign affairs experts at RUSI claimed that terrorism in Afghanistan had been injected by Pakistan. He further claimed that Pakistan was habouring leadership of Taliban in Quetta and he (Ghani) provided documented proves to leadership of Pakistan about such conspiracies against Afghanistan but no action against Taliban was taken so far, who according to him, had been living inside Pakistan.

Political circles in Islamabad are of the view that this is not the first time when Ashraf Ghani has blamed Pakistan for terrorism within his country but foreign office of Pakistan has never responded to such statements with vigour and always comes up with very soft response.

It may be mentioned that Ghani during his address to a gathering of diplomats and foreign affairs experts in London at Whitehall claimed on Thursday evening that no action had been taken against Taliban and terrorists who had been living inside Pakistan. He further indicated that Pakistan was responsible for bad law and order situation of Afghanistan as Taliban leadership was sponsored by Pakistani establishment.

It is pertinent to mentioned that Ghani also blasted at Pakistan during his address to the Afghan Parliament on March 6, 2016 and he repeated his negative stance during his another speech to joint session of the Afghan Parliament in last week of April.
