ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan and Nepal were enjoying excellent bilateral diplomatic relations and these would be further strengthened in the times to come.

Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan Bharat Raj Paudyal said this while addressing a farewell dinner hosted in his honour by former Secretary General ministry of Foreign Affairs Muhammad Akram Zaki.

Speaking about his more than three years stay in Pakistan, the Ambassador said, “I am carrying with me good experience of diplomatic assignment and everlasting memories to charish”.

During my stay in Pakistan as Ambassador, “I always made efforts for strengthening bilateral diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries”.

“I took guidance from senior Pakistani friends like Akram Zaki for fulfilling my assignment effectively and will remember it for a long time,” the ambassador saiid.

High Commissioner of India Gautam Bambawala and High Commissioner of Sri Lanka Jayanath Lokuketagodage also attended the dinner.

Former President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Special Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amjad Hussain Sial and diplomats from the ambassy of Nepal also attended the dinner.

The dinner was also attended by a large number of former ambassadors and their families beside senior journalists.

Muhammad Akram Zaki thanked the chief guest Ambassador of Nepal and appreciated his efforts to bring Pakistan and Nepal more closer by using his diplomatic experience successfully during his stay and extended good wishes to him for his new assignment.

Ambassador Zaki having more than 35 years experience as a diplomat also recalled and shared his experiences with the gathering and suggested to young diplomats for using their skills to alleviate tensions and promoting peace and harmony in the region.

It may be mentioned here that Ambassador of Nepal Bharat Raj Paudyal is leaving Pakistan next week after completing his diplomatic assignment as Ambassador of Nepal.
