ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Advisor to Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui on Tuesday directed Department of Archeology and Museum (DAM) to plan construction of National Museum in the Federal Capital on immediate basis.

He stated this in a meeting held here at National History and Literary Heritage division, said a press release.

In the meeting, National Language Promotion Department (NLPD) and DAM briefed the Advisor to PM on performance and future plans of the departments. Secretary NH&LH Division Mohsin S. Haqqani, DG NLPD Saqib Aleem, Joint Secretary Mashhood Mirza and other senior officials of NH&LH Division also attended the meeting.

On the directives of Advisor to PM, a special committee was constituted for the translation of standard Urdu.

The Advisor to PM also directed the officials to achieve the set target of implementing National language within time as per directives of Supreme Court order and Constitutional obligation.

On the occasion, NLPD and DAM senior officials briefed the Advisor to PM about the performance and future targets of the departments.

It was informed that for the implementation of National language a special booklet was compiled while Secretariat Training Institute is providing training for the purpose.

It was stated that efforts are being in progress for the computerization of Urdu data with various aspects, adding that Ministry of Information Technology would be requested for assistance in developing E-filing system.

The Advisor to Prime Minister also said that with national spirit Urdu can be implemented as office language, adding that modern technology should be focused for assistance in this regard.
