DHAKA, Bangladesh: The 7th match of T20 Asia Cup is being played between India and Sri Lanka at Dhaka on Tuesday.

Following a 23-run defeat at the hands of low-ranked Bangladesh, Sri Lanka will be under more pressure and needs to lifts its performance to an extent that it can beat the top-ranked India.

Previously, India and Sri Lanka played nine T20s against each other, of which India won five matches while Sri Lanka secured victory in four.

Though Sri Lankan T20 record against India is not bad but currently, blue shirts are in great form and emerged victorious in seven from their last eight T20s. In contrast, Sri Lanka lost six of its last eight T20s.

Having been beaten by Bangladesh in its previous game, Sri Lanka cannot afford to lose another match if it has to remain in the run for final.

Earlier last night, Pakistan beat United Arab Emirates (UAE) by seven wickets in the 6th match of the Asia Cup at Dhaka.

While batting first UAE scored 129 runs for the loss of six wickets in allotted 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan achieved the target in 18.4 overs for the loss of three wickets.

The middle-order batsmen Shoaib Malik and Umar Akmal scored unbeaten 63 and 50 runs respectively.

Pakistan will play its next match against Bangladesh at Dhaka on Wednesday.
