LAHORE, Pakistan: The train service between India and Pakistan resumed on Thursday after it was suspended on Monday due to security concerns in the wake of Haryana riots.

According to Pakistan Railways sources, Samjhota Express left Lahore for India carrying 140 passengers at 8:00 am under strict security arrangements.

It may be mentioned that Dosti Bus Service and Samjhota Express were suspended on the request of India in the wake of deadly caste violence in India’s Haryana that killed many people and injured more than 150 others.

Lahore-Delhi `Dosti Bus Service’ resumed operation from Wednesday.
