Islamabad United vs Karachi Kings at 09:00 pm PST
DUBAI: Islamabad United and Karachi Kings will face each other in the second playoff of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday, a day after a nail-biting game finished with Quetta Gladiators reaching the final.
The match will begin at 09:00 pm PST and the losing side will be eliminated from the tournament while the winner will play against Peshawar Zalmi on February 21 for second qualifying final.
Islamabad United secured third position with 8 points on HBL PSL points table in the first round whereas Karachi Kings was at number 4 with 4 points.
Earlier last night in the first playoff match of PSL, Quetta Gladiators beat Peshawar Zalmi by 1 run.
While batting first, Quetta Gladiators scored 133 runs all out in allotted 20 overs. Overseas players England’s Kevin Pietersen and Sri Lankan Kumar Sangakkara were top scorers with 53 and 37 runs respectively.
In reply, Peshawar Zalmi reached the target for the loss of 9 wickets in last over.
Quetta Gladiators’ Muhammad Nawaz was declared man of the match. He scored 20 runs as well as picked up 3 crucial wickets.
