SHARJAH: Islamabad United will face Lahore Qalandars at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the ninth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Wednesday.
It will be first match of the HBL PSL in Sharjah as earlier all previous games of the tournament were played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Both Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars are right at the bottom of the HBL PSL points table as they have won one game each of their three matches against various sides.
It is in contrast to what was being expected from these two teams which also consists of some of world class players and exceptionally talented batsmen.
Lahore Qalandars which has Chris Gayle, Umar Akmal and Dwayne Bravo in its squad had to wait till February 8 when it secured its first victory of the PSL against the top-ranked Quetta Gladiators by 63 runs.
Currently, Quetta Gladiators is at the top of the PSL points table with six points followed by Peshawar Zalmi with four points. Karachi Kings is at third, Lahore Qalandars at fourth and Islamabad United at fifth position.
