EducationFATA Teachers Association warns of strike if demands not met

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: All Teachers’ Association FATA Monday demanded the government to up-grade their scale and to resolve other long-standing issues till February 25.

Talking to APP, Press Secretary of the Associations Muhammad Asif said if their demands were not met they will boycott the duties of Polio and annual examinations to be held in March. The teachers of settled areas were upgraded four years back but they are still waiting for their up-gradation, he added.

The tribal teachers, he said were performing duties in remote and hard areas, but the high ups of the education department were paying no heed to their just demand.

Muhammad Asif said the FATA teachers deserved all facilities, incentives and perks which the teachers in settled areas were getting.
