NewsHajj Policy 2016 to be announced next month

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony is likely to announce Hajj Policy 2016 next month after inking an agreement with Saudi authorities.

According to official sources, a Pakistani delegation would visit Saudi Arabia this month to discuss allotment of Hajj quota to Pakistan as per population ratio.

The hajj quota of Pakistan was suspended from 143,000 to 180,000 due to expansion project of Haram Sharif. The sources said that present government has reduced Hajj expenditures by Rs 75,000 to provide relief to the Hujjaj.

Hajj facilities being offered to Pakistani Hujjaj are not only inexpensive but also better as compared to other Islamic countries including Iran, Turkey and Indonesia.
