ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Higher Education Commission (HEC) has invited applications from outstanding Pakistani/AJK nationals for the award of overseas scholarships for MS/Mphil leading to Phd. 

Talking to APP here Monday, an official of the HEC said that these scholarships will be offered in the following countries including, Australia, UK, Germany, Austria, France, New Zealand, China, Turkey.

He said, the application were invited by Pakistani/AJK nationals who must have minimum 18 years of education i.e. MS/Mphil, adding that the candidate will not be necessarily placed in his/her country/university of choice and HEC decision will be final.

All scholarships will be awarded on provincial quota and discipline wise merit, he said and added, only HEC selected partner universities in above mentioned countries will be considered for award of scholarship.

These scholarships, he said were not being offered in Engineering, Agriculture and Chemistry.

Candidates are required to indicate the countries/universities of their choice in order of preference in the application form. HEC reserves the right to re-allocate any country/university to the candidate. Only one admission chance against any country/university will be provided.

Last date of receipt of applications for scholarships will be Thursday February 18, 2016.
