ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The government has started one-year internship scheme for unemployed youth under Prime Minister’s Youth Training Scheme.

The official sources said that those having 16 years of education can apply online at pmyts.nip.gov.pk by Feb 11 for the internship.

The selected interns will be given Rs 12,000 stipend each month will be placed in the federal and provincial departments, industries, banks, corporations and various private institutions.

The seminary graduates are also entitled to apply.

A total of 50,000 internships will be given to the youth from all the provinces and regions of the country.

The officials said that allocation of interns has been made in accordance with the NFC award and Federal Public Service Commission’s recruitment criteria for provincial and regional quotas.

The programme is aimed at enhancing skills of the youth and employability opportunities in different fields.
