ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Higher Education Commission (HEC) has extended the date for online registration of students for PM’s laptop scheme till January 10, 2015.

According to an official, the commission has said that on line registration could be made through Student’s Service Portal http:\\pmnls.hec.gov.pk.

He advised students to validate their records as available at its portal service to get register for Prime Minister’s Laptop scheme.

The official said that it has been noticed that a large number of students have not validated their records within the stipulated time, which has caused delay in the distribution of laptops amongst the students.

HEC said that date for students studying at government technical, polytechnical Institutions and the colleges under Federal Directorate of Education will be announced later.

It said that the commission has made this decision keeping in view the requests of students and universities.
