ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The concerned security authorities in Islamabad have advised the residents of twin Cities to remain extra vigilant as there might by any untoward situation caused by the terror outfits.

“There are some genuinely credible security & safety concerns from military intelligence sources as main reason to publish this alert here for the sake of safety and security of the general public,” said a security alert issued by the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad.

“Let us be careful for the next few days,” said in the security advisory issued on Wednesday.

It has been requested to all residents of Islamabad/Rawalpindi to kindly alter their plans of visiting renowned Malls such as Centaurus and Safa Gold etc in the Capital for a few days.

The Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has also directed that all Islamabad registered vehicles must display number plates issued by the Excise & Taxation Department Islamabad with immediate effect. In case of any violation of the issued directives, violators will be penalized by the Islamabad Traffic Police for the use of any other number plates.

Under the directives, the use of High Intensity Discharge (HID) light has also been prohibited and Director (Excise & Taxation) has been tasked with ensuring compliance.

Likewise, the District Magistrate Islamabad has directed that all permits for tinted glasses have been canceled and legal action shall be taken against violators.

In addition, the travellers of the twin city have been advised to take alternate routes as Express Highway from Koral chowk to Zero point, and Murree road from Faizabad to Dhokri Chowk are supposed to be temporarily blocked tomorrow for normal traffic from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm due to the visit of Indian as well as Sir Lankan Foreign Ministers in Islamabad.

The security advisory has been issued as the Pakistan is co-hosting the fifth Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process Ministerial conference in Islamabad.

The Conference is being attended by high-ranking delegations from 14 Participating States, 17 Supporting Countries and 12 International and Regional Organizations.
