KABUL, Afghanistan: At least 21 persons were killed while 10 others wounded after a gunfight broke out between two groups at a wedding party in Afghanistan’s northern Baghlan province.

The Baghlan governor Jaweed Basharat said that the incident took place on Sunday night in the Andarab district of the province.

Basharat said that the gunfight broke out after a relative of a provincial police official was murdered during the wedding party.

The governor further said that all those who lost their lives in the firing incident were present there as guests, and were aged from 14 to 60 years.

The wedding ceremony was being held at a private house whereas some 400 persons were present there at the time of clash.
