Crime16 die as explosion hits passenger coach in North Waziristan

MIRANSHAH: At least 16 people were killed in a blast which ripped through a passenger coach in a remote area of North Waziristan bordering Afghanistan.

Nature of the blast could not be ascertained immediately.

However, sources said an explosion took place near a passenger coach in North Waziristan’s Miranshah town, killing all 16 people onboard the vehicle.

Further details were being gathered from people in the tribal area, an stronghold of militant groups loyal to Taliban and Al Qaida.

Pakistan army has been conducting an offensive in several tribal agencies to eliminate the insurgents.
