Social15 including 10 children killed in Nankana Sahib road accident

LAHORE, Pakistan: In another fatal accident which apparently was caused by dense fog, at least 15 persons including 10 children were killed in Punjab’s Nankana Sahib area on Wednesday morning.

The reports said that accident took place at Manawala Road in Nankana Sahib where a liquefied natural gas (LNG) container collided with a car, two rickshaws and two motorbikes.

The fire broke out after the collision which also caused multiple injuries. The injured were rushed to District Hospital Sheikhupura and various hospitals in Lahore and Faisalabad.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif expressed sorrow and grief over the loss of lives in the incident. He directed the concerned authorities to provide best medical treatment to the injured people.

The Chief Minister also ordered the concerned authorities to initiate an investigation into the accident.

These days dense fog engulfs the Punjab province which often causes road accidents. However, reckless driving and not abiding by traffic laws are also two other major reasons behind loss of precious lives.
