DND Report
The former prime minister, Imran Khan Niazi, who was convicted in corruption cases, is once again getting exceptional space in Western media, with more than 150 articles appearing in his favour in European and North American media since he was sent to jail. No former prime minister of Pakistan has received this much space in foreign media, including the late Benazir Bhutto, who was the first Muslim woman to become prime minister and had been in jail several times, nor Mian Nawaz Sharif, who served three times as prime minister of Pakistan.
Ruling party’s circles claim that the exceptional media space Imran Khan is receiving in foreign media is due to his relations with the strong Zionist lobby in the Western world, as he is the father of two sons whose mother belongs to the House of Goldsmith. Some political circles even claim that Imran Khan Niazi was a “Zionist project”, and several important writers, such as Hakeem Muhammad Saeed and Dr Israr Ahmad, said in the 1990s that Imran Khan Niazi would be elevated to the post of prime minister of Pakistan through funding and support from the Zionist lobby in the United States and England. They predicted that Zionists would launch Imran Khan and that he would run Pakistan to fulfil the Zionist agenda that proved to be reality in 2018. Hakeem Saeed authored and compiled more than 200 books on religion, medicine, and wisdom. On October 17, 1998, he was martyred in Karachi when he was brutally shot outside his pharmacy in Aram Bagh.
In his book Japan Ki Kahani, he predicted that Imran Khan of Pakistan had been selected by the Jewish lobby and that Zionist television and the press had taken Imran Khan “hand in hand”, including CNN and BBC. “Now Imran Khan is married to Jews, Pakistan’s media is being given crores of rupees to make Imran Khan a special person. Imran Khan is being promoted to the Prime Ministership of Pakistan,” Hakeem Saeed added.
If we look at the events of the last three decades, from the establishment of PTI and Imran Khan’s rise to the post of prime minister to the present, the powerful Jewish lobby is allegedly standing behind Imran Khan. The influence of the Jewish lobby, which is behind the massacre of Palestinians, has also been showing its “concern” over “human rights abuses in Pakistan”.
On April 13, 2022, during his interview on the Capital Talk show, President Asif Ali Zardari said that PTI’s social media operation was designed by foreigners and that the Goldsmith family was behind Imran Khan. He was referring to Khan’s ex-wife, Jemima Marcelle Goldsmith, and her family, which had been part of the UK statecraft.

Zardari claimed that social media had become a lethal weapon and that PTI’s social media operation was far ahead of those of other political parties because it was designed by foreigners. He also claimed that the Goldsmith family was behind Imran Khan and that even the then-sitting minister in the UK, who is a relative of Imran Khan, had released an objectionable statement in favour of the former prime minister. Jemima Marcelle Goldsmith responded to such allegations and called them untrue. On August 21, 2026, Imran Khan’s former brother-in-law, Frank Zacharias Robin Goldsmith, wrote a letter to the UK Foreign Secretary, Ed Miliband, urging him to raise the issue of Imran Khan Niazi’s conviction at the diplomatic level with Pakistan.
What is happening to @imrankhanPTI is an abuse on every conceivable level.
Passively monitoring the situation is plainly not enough. It is time for active diplomacy.

A brief look at the media coverage of Imran Khan in Western media indicates that more than 150 articles have appeared in the last two years in favour of PTI and against Pakistan in Western media, including a recent article in The Telegraph, published on August 21, 2026, titled “Imran Khan being tortured in prison”.
The article was written by Mumbai-based journalist Samaan Lateef, who also writes for the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. Samaan Lateef, who regularly writes about Pakistan, in his last article titled “British national killed at protest in Kashmir — Fifty-year-old from Peterborough struck by stray bullet fired by Pakistani security forces”, published on August 10, 2026, provided interesting information. He wrote that a “fifty-year-old from Peterborough [was] struck by a stray bullet fired by Pakistani security forces”.
In crime reporting and in general usage, the term “stray bullet” is used for a bullet that accidentally hits something or someone during crossfire or during celebratory firing at wedding parties in South Asia. In such firing incidents, investigators conduct forensic tests on bullets to determine what weapon was used and who fired it. Without such information, the bullet may be described as a “stray bullet”. Once it is determined that person A or B fired the bullet, the case record clearly indicates who fired it, and it is no longer described simply as a “stray bullet”.
It is a known fact, according to the claims made in this report, that forensic testing of the bullet that hit Mohammad Akhtar, 50, from Peterborough, has yet to be completed, and it has yet to be confirmed that the bullet was fired by Pakistan’s security agencies.
Such articles, according to critics, reinforce President Zardari’s claim that Western media, particularly the UK media, engages in biased reporting against Pakistan. There is also speculation that the power and influence of the “House of Goldsmith” could be behind such biased reporting.
