RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The military operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ against militants in the North Waziristan tribal region is progressing well as per plan, the Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa said in a twitter message.

The DG ISPR said that the tribesmen of North Waziristan do not want return of terrorists to their lands.

Bajwa said that the state would also never allow the terrorists to reestablish themselves in these areas.

Registration of IDPs from Razmak, Shawal begins in Peshawar

Meanwhile, the registration of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Razmak and Shawal areas of North Waziristan Agency began in Peshawar on Friday morning.

These IDPs are living in Peshawar and northern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The sources of FATA disaster management authority said that the total number of IDPs has now gone up to about 877,000.
