Terrorists fired on a military check post in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district, resulting in the martyrdom of one Pakistan army soldier.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the military check post was located in the Ghariom area of North Waziristan, which came under an attack by terrorists.
The ISPR said that Pakistan army troops responded to the terrorists attack in a befitting manner.
However, during the exchange of fire with terrorists, 29-year-old Sepoy Shahid, a resident of Bahawalnagar, embraced shahadat.
The ISPR said that the area clearance was being carried out to eliminate the terrorists.
It said that the Pakistan army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
It was the second terrorists attack targeting the Pakistan military post in the Ghariom area of North Waziristan within the last few days.
In the previous attack occurred on August 2, 37-year-old Naik Ghulam Mustafa was martyred.
