Islamabad: As many as 59,705 Internally Dispaced Persons (IDPs) families have been registered comprising 759,835 individuals, says FATA Disaster Management Authority officials. Government was expecting less than 0.6 million IDPs but figure is going up day by day. It may be mentioned that despite taking much time to initiate Zarb-e-Azb Operation in North Waziristan, neither Federal government nor Provincial government of KPK collected data about expected IDPs. KPK government thought that maximum 600,000 IDPs will arrive when operation will start.
