RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The security forces conducted an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Jhallar Algad area of North Waziristan district, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday.
The ISPR said that during the conduct of the operation, an intense fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists.
It said that troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and resultantly, five terrorists got killed.
The weapon and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists.
The ISPR said that the killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and killing of innocent citizens.
However, during intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Nasir Khan (age 25 years, resident of South Waziristan district) having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.
The ISPR said that the sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
