RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Two Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast at Dosalli area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the security forces were conducting the area clearance operation in Dosalli area when the blast went off resulting in the martyrdom of two soldiers.
The ISPR said that 25-year-old Sepoy Zia Akram, a resident of Muzaffarabad, and 20-year-old Sepoy Musawwar Khan, a resident of Bajaur, were martyred in the IED blast.
Immediately after the blast, Pakistan army troops cordoned the area to apprehend the terrorists involved in planting IED.
During the intense exchange of fire, one of the terrorists trying to flee got killed.
The ISPR said that the clearance operation was still in progress to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
