Zarb-e-Azb: More than 11 militants killed in North Waziristan air strike

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Pakistan’s army fighter jets pounded militant hideouts in the restive North Waziristan tribal region on Wednesday, killing 15 more militants.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the air strikes were carried out at Dattakhel tehsil of North Waziristan, adding that several hideouts of militants were also destroyed in the air strikes.

It was the second air strikes in the Datakhel area of the tribal region in two days as on Tuesday morning, at least 17 militants including some foreigners were killed in precise air strikes conducted by the Pakistani military.

The air strikes are part of the full-fledged military operation Zarb-e-Azb being conducted against various outlawed militant outfits since June 15.

Eight bullet-riddled bodies recovered from Tirah Valley

On the other hand, eight bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from Tirah Valley area of Khyber agency.

The bodies were shifted to the Jamrud Levies Center, the sources said.
