KIEV: The Ukrainian protesters on Friday seized a government ministry building in the capital city of Kiev, after the talks between President Viktor Yanukovich and the opposition leaders failed to resolve the political stalemate.
The anti-government protesters occupied the agriculture ministry in the capital, while they also advanced barricades closer to the presidential headquarters.
Earlier, the opposition leader Vitaly Klitschko said that the president had made no concessions in a second round of talks with the opposition held late on Thursday in an effort to find a negotiated solution to end the crisis.
