South Africa’s Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius has been taken into custory after he alleged to have accidentally gunned down her girlfriend as he mistook her for a burglar, local media reported on Thursday.

The 26-year-old Pistorius, the first double amputee to run in the Olympics, was understood to have shot his girlfriend in the head and arm, although the circumstances surrounding the incident were unclear. He may have mistaken her for a burglar, said Johannesburg’s Talk Radio 702.

The South African police told media news agency that a dead woman had been found at the Pretoria home of paralympic star Oscar Pistorius.
