Qatar Airways suspends flight operations to Saudi Arabia while SA orders to close down Al Jazeera offices
Monitoring Desk: After suspension of diplomatic relations with Qatar, Saudi Arabia is closing offices of Qatar-based Al Jazeera television network in Saudi Arabia.
While Qatar Airways has suspended all flight operations to and from Saudi Arabia. Qatar Airways announced on Monday evening that it has suspended all flights to Saudi Arabia with immediate affect.
While Al Jazeera claims in a report that Saudi Arabia has begun the process of cancellation of broadcasting licenses of Al Jazeera channel and closing its offices.
Meanwhile Ajel media outlet, claims that Saudi government has ordered the Saudi journalists working for Qatari media outlets to return home with immediate affect.
Qatar is blamed to help terrorists after Qatari news agency posted a speech on behalf of the country’s emir in support of building relations with Iran. Afterwards, the official representative of the Qatari Foreign Ministry said that the agency’s site was hacked and the emir’s speech was published by hackers and had nothing to do with the Qatari leader. However, Saudi Arabia did not accept claim of Qatari Foreign Office and diplomatic relations were suspended by Riyadh on Monday claiming that Qatari government was helping terrorist organisations.
