BAKU, Azerbaijan: The special forces of Pakistan and Azerbaijan will hold joint exercises, Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, reports DND News Agency while citing Azerbaijan’s State News Agency AZERTAC.
In a Press Conference in Baku, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov said that the scenario of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Special Forces Joint Exercises has been prepared and the work is underway.
As per the Azerbaijani media, the Azerbaijani army will participate in 13 joint military exercises this year.
Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov also told media that the helicopter fleet of the Azerbaijani army has been fully modernized and equipped with the state-of-the-art weapons.
The defense minister said that the military aircraft of the Azerbaijani army are ready to perform combat tasks.
“We use the most modern helicopters capable of hitting a target from a long distance,” the minister said. “Work is also underway to modernize the country’s naval forces.”
