ISTANBUL, Turkey: The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that the US decision over Jerusalem has been in favor of extremists, and that we will never take back our demand of free Palestinian State.

While addressing the Extraordinary Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit on Al-Quds Al-Sharif being held in Istanbul on Wednesday, the Turkish president said that recognition of Jerusalem as Capital of Israel is contrary to the International Laws. He said that the decision of the US President Donald Trump has been supported by Israel only.

The Extraordinary OIC Summit was summoned after Donald Trump last week announced to relocate the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, recognizing the Occupied Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital.

The US presidents’ announcement prompted widespread opposition across the World as beside various Countries, the UN Security Council, European Union, Arab League and OIC also denounced the US move to shift its embassy.

In his address, Erdogan called on all nations of the World to recognize Al-Quds as the Capital of Palestine.

The Turkish president also condemned the “violence shown by Israel” and extended condolences to the martyrs who have fallen protecting the State of Palestine.

Tayyip Erdogan called on Muslims around the World to visit the Temple Mount in Al-Quds, which he called the “red line” in the conflict with Israel.

The OIC Summit is being attended by Heads of States and Governments of 26 Islamic States including Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to explore ways to deal with the situation arising from the recent decision by the US administration to shift the US Embassy to Jerusalem.

Moscow says it won’t allow US to silence UNSC on Israeli violence against Palestinians Monitoring Desk: Russian envoy in United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said that the UN Security Council should bring peace, stability and prosperity to the Middle East and Russia would not allow United States to silence UNSC over the issue of Gaza crisis. According to TASS news Agency, Nebenzya said that Moscow will continue to call for an end to violence against Palestinians and will not allow the US to muzzle the UN Security Council as Washington seeks to support Israel's operation in Gaza. "We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation. We will not allow the Americans to gag the entire council with their hands in an effort to encourage further continuation of Israel's ruthless operation," he said in a speech at the Security Council.
