BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan: The mass protest for the annulment of the result of recently held Parliamentary Election in Kyrgyzstan though initially remained peaceful but it turned violent as the people stormed the Parliament and the Presidential Office in Bishkek and set them on fire, BBC News reported.
The Kyrgyz Parliamentary Election was held on Sunday in which 16 political parties were in the race. However, only four parties passed the seven percent threshold for entry into the Parliament.
The losing parties declined to accept the election results and alleged rigging in polls.
Meanwhile, thousands of supporters of opposition parties took to streets in the Capital against the election results and demanded their annulment.
The infuriated protesters also broke through the gates of the White House that houses both the Parliament and the Presidential Office and set them ablaze.
Later they also broke into the Headquarters of State Committee on National Security and freed the former President Almazbek Atambayev who is accused of corruption.
The violent protest also led to a clash between the protesters and the police which used water cannon and tear gas to disperse the crowd.

The Health Ministry said that in the unrest, one person was killed and nearly 600 were injured.
To bring the normalcy back, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov made an appeal to the protesters and also agreed to revisit the results.
