BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Faisal Niaz Tirmizi attended the 16th SCO Culture Ministerial Conference in Bishkek on Wednesday (May 15, 2019), the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
Besides Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, the Kyrgyzstan’s Culture Minister Azamat Jamankulov, the Tajikistan’s Culture Minister Shamsiddin Orumbekzoda, the Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov, the Kazakhstan’s Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports Aktoty Raimkulova, the Russian Deputy Minister of Culture Nikolai Ovsienko, the Member of the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism Wang Xiofeng, the Indian Deputy Minister of Culture Arun Goel and the Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Xie Xiaoyun also attended the Conference.

In the Conference, the participants discussed the state and prospects in the field of cultural development on the implementation of the agreement between the governments of the SCO Member States, cooperation in the field of culture within the framework of SCO, inscribing cultural heritage sites of the SCO Member States in the UNESCO World Heritage List and holding the International Silk Road Fest festival in the SCO Member States in 2021.
