It is time to shout from the rooftops because the most popular show of all time is coming back!
Ross Reveals The Details
David Schwimmer who played Ross Geller in the 90s sitcom has revealed the details of the upcoming reunion. While talking to the host in ‘The Tonight Show’, he revealed that tentative plans are being made to film the reunion in quarantine, claiming that it is going to be special for every fan.
The highly anticipated reunion has been in works since long and was scheduled to begin shooting in March. However, the public health emergency that followed the pandemic outbreak in the country brought a halt to it.
When’s FRIENDS Coming Back?
David in his interview with Jimmy Fallon shared:
“It’s supposed to happen maybe in August — the middle of August.
“But honestly, we’re gonna wait and see another week or two if we all determine it’s really safe enough to do. And if not, then we’ll wait until it’s safe.
On the topic of the reunion and who among the OG cast is coming back, David shared the best news that everyone including Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Mathew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc will be a part of it. He further said that he and the other cast members “would love to shoot the special” that was born as an unscripted conversation among the onscreen friends on the show’s original soundstage in the Burbank.
Were Ross & Rachel On A Break?
Among other things that Schwimmer talked about, he also shared his opinion on the age-old debate that has rocked the entertainment fraternity and its viewers since the show was launched. Were Ross and Rachel really “on a break” when she accused him of cheating on her during a classic episode of “Friends”?
To this, Schwimmer replied:
“It’s not even a question. They were on a break.”
This among many other things is the reason we love Friends and can’t wait for it to be back on our screens with a reunion that will take us back down the memory lane.
