KARACHI, Pakistan: Workers’ remittances recorded an inflow of US$ 2.5 billion during March 2023, indicating an increase of 27.4% over February 2023.

The latest statistics released by the State Bank of Pakistan on Monday showed that Workers’ remittances recorded an inflow of US$ 20.5 billion during the first three quarters of the current Fiscal Year (July-March 2023) against US$ 23.0 billion in the same period last year.Workers’ remittances recorded an inflow of US$ 2.5 billion during March 2023, indicating an increase of 27.4% over February 2023.

The data showed that in March 2023, US$ 316.0 million inflows were recorded from the United States, US$ 422.0 million from the United Kingdom, US$ 563.9 million from Saudi Arabia, US$ 406.7 million from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and US$ 297.6 million from other GCC Countries.

Similarly, an inflow of US$ 298.8 million was received from European Union (EU) Countries last month.
