ABU DHABI, UAE: In order to mark International Women’s Day, the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi hosted an event on the digital inclusion and literacy of Pakistani women on Wednesday.

It is an occasion to celebrate the progress made in empowering women, and to reaffirm our collective resolve for redoubling efforts to further advance respect for women’s rights. Pakistani women from every sphere of life residing in Abu Dhabi attended the event.

Dr. Asma Naheed, a renowned Educational Psychologist and founder of the pro-bono mental health organization Hope and Light in Pakistan & UAE was a keynote speaker at the event.

Dr. Naheed emphasized the need of education for Pakistani women to cope up with transformations in the recent era, in which technology advancement is one of the major transformations.

The need for enhancement of opportunities in education for women was also under discussion in the event.

The participants also shared their views regarding digital inclusion and provision of education for Pakistani women.

In her remark, Ms. Haania Rais Tirmizi, spouse of the Ambassador of Pakistan, added that digital inclusion, literacy and education opportunities for women have become an inevitable factor in this advanced era.
