RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Federal Government Educational Institutions (FGEIs) on Wednesday observed International Women’s Day to highlight issues confronting the women in the Country and to sensitize the government to give the long-denied rights to them.

To mark International Women’s Day, a walk was organized in which school and college students, teachers and staff members participated in huge number.

The participants of walk carrying placards inscribed with slogans in favor of women rights.

Int'l Women Day: FGEIs holds walk to sensitize govt to give women equal rights They pressed the need for provision of equal opportunities and empowerment of women and girls through innovation, technical advancement, and education in line with trends in modern day world.

To highlight the importance of women’s education, the FG institutions spread all over the Pakistan observed the day with greater zeal and zest to pay homage to all the women’s who have played a vital role and contributed in different walks of life for nation building.
