BANNU: At least six people, including women and children, were injured in a roadside bomb blast which occurred in Bannu Garda Nali in Khyberpakhtunkha on Thursday.

Police said the incident took place in Bannu’s Garda Nali area where explosive material planted on the roadside went off, injuring six people, including women and school-going children.

   

Officials said it was an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by militants probably to target police or army conveys.

The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals are police and law-enforcement agencies’ personnel cordoned off the area.
