ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal minister for defence Khawaja Asif has said that some political elements are trying to sabotage the military operation Zarb-e-Azb against militants in the North Waziristan and undermine national interests for their personal gains.
In an interview, the defence minister said that people would not allow any political entity to sabotage the operation.
The defence minister urged political leaders to refrain from holding road shows because the parliament is the best forum to address all the issues.
Khawaja Asif further said that the operation was launched to eliminate terrorists.
