ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: With a positivity ratio of 10.3%, 4,368 people suffered COVID-19 infections across Pakistan on March 25, recording the highest number of Coronavirus Cases since June 22 last year.

In the last 24 hours, 42,418 COVID-19 tests were performed in the Country whereas on June 22, 2020, a total of 30,520 were carried out and 4,471 of them returned positivity in addition to 89 deaths.

The Country also suffered 63 COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, mostly in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Out of a total of 63 deaths registered on March 25, 43 occurred in Punjab, 14 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 4 in Sindh, and 1 each in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

Province-wise COVID-19 positivity ratio recorded on March 25, 2021;

Sindh –              2.90%

Punjab –            14.15%

KPK –                10.83%

ICT –                 9.84%

Balochistan –      4.57%

AJK –                 12.40%

Gilgit-Baltistan –  1.91%

So far a total of 645,356 Coronavirus Cases have been detected in the Country including 264,062 in Sindh, 207,765 in Punjab, 82,677 in KPK, 54,347 in ICT, 19,427 in Balochistan, 12,095 in AJK, and 4,983 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Similarly, 14,091 people have died of COVID-19 in the Country till date.

In terms of fatalities, Punjab remains the highest affected province with 6,142 deaths followed by Sindh which has recorded 4,486 deaths.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has so far recorded 2,260 COVID-19 deaths, ICT 555, AJK 340, Balochistan 205, and Gilgit-Baltistan 103.

As of March 26, 591,145 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease in the Country while 40,120 are still battling with it.
