ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan’s COVID-19 positivity ratio stood at 9.93% on March 31 as out of 50,055 tests performed in the last 24 hours, 4,974 returned positive.

It was the highest figure since June 20 last year in terms of infections registered in a single day.

In the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 7,564 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, and 724 of them returned positive recording a positivity ratio of 9.57%.

In the last 24 hours, the highest positivity ratio was observed in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) with 16.09%.

The positivity ratio in Punjab was recorded at 12.32%, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at 12.03%, in Balochistan at 5.17%, in Gilgit-Baltistan at 2.88%, and in Sindh at 2.56%.

In addition to that, the Country also recorded 98 more COVID deaths on March 31. Out of them, 62 deaths occurred in Punjab, 21 in KPK, 5 in Sindh, 4 in ICT, 3 in AJK, and 1 in Balochistan.

So far, a total of 672,931 Coronavirus Cases have been registered in the Country including 265,680 in Sindh, 223,181 in Punjab, 88,099 in KPK, 58,557 in ICT, 19,576 in Balochistan, 12,805 in AJK, and 5,033 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Whereas out of 14,530 COVID-19 deaths recorded so far in the Country, 6,427 have occurred in Punjab, 4,502 in Sindh, 2,363 in KPK, 572 in Islamabad, 355 in Azad Kashmir, 208 in Balochistan, and 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

With an 89.9% ratio, 605,274 COVID-19 patients have recovered now across the Country whereas the total active COVID Cases in Pakistan as of April 1 are 53,127.
