ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Country recorded 40 more deaths of COVID-19 on February 8 and now the death toll has risen to 12,527.

In the last 24 hours, 28 COVID patients died in Punjab, 6 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 4 in Sindh, and 1 each in Islamabad and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

Out of a total of 12,527 deaths having so far been registered across the Country, 5,166 have occurred in Punjab, 4,267 in Sindh, 2,020 in KPK, 488 in Islamabad, 285 in AJK, 199 in Balochistan, and 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore, 1,245 more people were confirmed positive for COVID-19 in the Country on February 18 which took the tally to 568,506.

So far, 255,039 Coronavirus Cases have been detected in Sindh, 166,242 in Punjab, 70,493 in KPK, 43,145 in Islamabad, 18,967 in Balochistan, 9,673 in AJK, and 4,947 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

As of now, 531,840 patients have been recovered from the infection across Pakistan whereas 24,139 are still under treatment.
