ISLAMABAD: A comprehensive disinfectant spray against Coronavirus (COVID-19) and fumigation for mosquitoes/dengue virus was carried out at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) in Islamabad.
All the residential colonies, medical centers, guest house, transport unit, academic blocks/ building and parking, administration building, mosques, huts, and all roads were thoroughly sprayed and fumigated.
The campaign was launched on the directives of the Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhamamd Ali Shah, which was effectively executed with the support and efforts of the QAU Alumni Association, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Bahria Town.
On the occasion, the Secretary General QAU Alumni Association Murtaza Noor, the Director Estate QAU Matloob Hussain, the Director Academics QAU Dr Ishtiaq Ali, Dr Asif Jamal, Raja Qamar Rasheed Satti and other officials of NDMA and Bahria Town were also present who supervised the overall plan.
The Vice Chancellor QAU, faculty and employees of QAU appreciated the efforts and contributions of Quaid-i-Azam University Alumni Association for providing services whenever required.
